FAST TRACK WEEKEND AND OVERNIGHT WORK
The fastest and most economical construction method currently available to repair and extend the service life of a bridge deck is to prepare the surface using Fast Track Hydro Demolition and replacing it with a new Rapid Set Latex Modified Concrete Bridge Deck Overlay. Rapid Set Latex Modified Concrete is used to reduce the overlay cure duration from 4 days to 3 hrs, achieving a compressive strength of 2500 psi, allowing the bridge to be opened to traffic. Night and weekend closures are ideal for this process because it minimizes total construction time and eliminates lane closers during heavy traffic. Latex Modified Concrete Overlays are excellent structural repairs for bridge decks. The service life of the bridge deck will be extended by 25 years because the existing concrete deck facilities are preserved by the “low porosity characteristics” of the Latex Modified Concrete.
